Dear Esteemed Readers, Supporters, and Friends in the Dharma,
As the Director of Siddhartha Compassion Trust, it gives me great pleasure to address you through the pages of this annual magazine. First and foremost, I wish to extend my deepest, heartfelt gratitude to all the compassionate souls who have walked alongside our Trust and championed its noble mission throughout the years.

I am deeply honored to serve this incredible organization, which was brought to life through the vision and unwavering dedication of our esteemed Chairman, Mr. Vivek Kumar Kalyan. His leadership has paved the way for remarkable growth and profound impact of the Siddhartha Compassion Trust. Under his continuous guidance, our Trust has blossomed into a steady beacon of hope for the underprivileged, providing free education, healthcare, and essential social support to those who need it most.
Reflecting on our journey, I am vividly reminded of the Trust's humble beginnings. Our story began in March 2004 with the establishment of a single elementary school in the village of Kendua, Bodhgaya. Armed with just forty students and one passionate female teacher, we embarked on a mission to bring the light of education to children who had been completely deprived of learning opportunities.

Today, I am filled with immense pride and joy to share how far that seed of compassion has grown. The Trust now operates three separate school buildings, nurturing the minds of over 900 students and employing a dedicated team of 29 staff members across various levels of education.
- Furthermore, our commitment to holistic community well-being is visible through our expanded facilities, which now include:
- 1. A Specialized Dental Clinic & Health Clinic, providing vital, free medical care to our students and the local community.
- 2. An Advanced Computer Lab, bridging the digital divide and fostering modern literacy.
- 3. Vocational Sewing & Tailoring Classes, equipping young individuals with practical skills for future self-reliance.

Beyond classroom walls and clinic doors, the Siddhartha Compassion Trust has extended its philanthropic hand deep into the social sector. We have reached out to numerous villages and local panchayats (village councils) across the Bodhgaya block- distributing warm blankets, donating vital food rations, and installing clean drinking water pump sets. These immediate relief efforts have touched thousands of lives, easing the burdens of families facing severe economic hardships.

This beautiful tapestry of success would be entirely impossible without the profound, generous support of Vietnamese Buddhists and global friends of the project. Your voluntary contributions are truly the lifeblood of our organization. Together, through this collective circle of Dana (generosity), we have made significant strides in improving health, promoting computer literacy, expanding educational access, and alleviating poverty- thereby advancing our ultimate mission of fostering world understanding, goodwill, and peace.

I would like to express my deepest personal appreciation to Mr. Vivek Kumar Kalyan for his exemplary leadership and fierce commitment to this cause. His boundless compassion is the engine driving our impact, and it is a honor to work alongside him and witness his tireless efforts to change the world for the better.

On behalf of the entire Siddhartha Compassion Trust family, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our supporters, volunteers, and well-wishers worldwide. Your kindness brings light and hope into the lives of countless children. May the spirit of compassion continue to guide us on this noble path, as we strive to make a positive, lasting impact on humanity.
With utmost gratitude and warmest blessings.
